Maybelline struck gold with a sensational video, sending the internet into a frenzy with an ingenious out-of-home advertising campaign that oozed glamor. In utter amazement, people couldn’t believe what they were seeing as they shared these captivating stories. However, there was a twist – it turned out they didn’t actually happen. The seemingly mind-blowing physical advertising campaign was a product of special effects.

National and international media outlets couldn’t resist covering the captivating sight of eyelashes adorning London Tube trains and buses. We were this close to jumping on the bandwagon and sharing the exciting news ourselves. 

What was the campaign?

We’re talking about Maybelline’s latest promotional campaign for its popular product, Lash Sensational Sky High Waterproof Mascara.

In an act of pure ingenuity, Maybelline has adorned the front-ends of select Metro trains and buses with whimsical giant eyelashes, instantly granting them a playful and enchanting appearance. But that’s not all – various bus and metro stations showcased oversized mascara tube stands, enhancing the overall eye-catching effect to a whole new level.

1- ‘Rocket Man’ Jet Pack Delivers Pizza to Glastonbury

Imagine this: you order a pizza, and out of nowhere, a daredevil wearing a jetpack flying suit swoops down like Iron Man to deliver it right at your doorstep! Sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie, doesn’t it?

Well, Domino’s isn’t one to shy away from jaw-dropping stunts. They’ve taken the art of pizza delivery to another dimension, experimenting with everything from robots to ‘driverless cars.’ Their mission? To leave you utterly stunned and craving for more!

In the most recent example, Domino’s UK sent a man equipped with a jetpack suit to deliver pizza during the Glastonbury Music Festival in the UK on July 1, 2023. The stunt received a lot of attention, with people getting amazed and shocked by this, and asking if it was for real.

Hold on to your seats as we journey back to 2006, a time when KFC’s marketing prowess knew no bounds!

With this stellar achievement, KFC becomes the world’s first brand to boldly venture beyond the Earth’s boundaries, becoming visible from space. Their approach was out-of-this-world, leaving an indelible impression on the marketing landscape.

In an era before Google Earth promotions became mainstream, KFC unleashed a jaw-dropping spectacle: a colossal logo, imprinted right in the heart of the Nevada desert. During the four-day extravaganza in August 2020, the skies of the UK witnessed a mesmerizing display of drone deliveries, ensuring a seamless and contactless experience for all recipients. So, from toothbrushes to delectable meals, the sky’s the limit when it comes to using drones for delivery, and Oral-B’s audacious move set the stage for an awe-inspiring trend that continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

4- Is it an alien invasion? Not quite! It’s just another Red Bull advertisement!

As the skies come alive, you might think it’s a bird or a plane. But no, it’s the iconic Red Bull soaring high!

Famed for their eccentric and attention-grabbing endeavors, Red Bull is a master at creating buzz through daring events. One unforgettable spectacle took place on March 20, 2018, when they orchestrated a New Moon Party in the heart of Los Angeles, US.

At this awe-inspiring event, three brave souls in wingsuits took a leap of faith from helicopters above the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown Hotel, an iconic skyscraper towering high above the city – an epic feat indeed. But here’s where the magic truly unfolded: these daredevils were equipped with sparkler mechanisms, transforming them into what appeared to be dazzling comets or UFOs.

Imagine the astonishment of onlookers as they witnessed this unexpected twist, adding an extra layer of intrigue and excitement to the already electrifying occasion. Red Bull once again proved their unmatched ability to captivate the world and intensify the buzz around their daring feats.

5- The dead T-Rex?

Picture this: you’re strolling along the streets of London when suddenly, your heart skips a beat as you spot what appears to be a lifeless dinosaur on the road. Scary, right?

In 2019, National Geographic orchestrated a jaw-dropping spectacle, as they transported a massive 30-foot-long dinosaur that looked eerily like a T-Rex. Strapped to a flatbed truck and partially covered with blood-soaked sheets, this eye-catching creature roamed the streets of London from 7 am, embarking on a thrilling tour through iconic locations like Brixton, central London, the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square, London Bridge, and Buckingham Palace.

As you can imagine, social media users and even Transport for London couldn’t resist tweeting about the passing dinosaur, speculating about the mysterious and deceased creature. But fear not, for this mesmerizing display was all part of National Geographic’s brilliant stunt to promote their new program, “T. Rex Autopsy.”
