Raffles Jaipur offers a spectacular, modern take on royal Rajasthani luxury

Raffles recently threw open its doors to its second property in India, debuting in Jaipur with a modern take on age-old royalty.

Boasting a grand fusion of Mughal and Rajputana architectural elegance, Raffles Jaipur is an opulent sanctuary that is meticulously crafted. The hotel, set against the backdrop of the ancient Aravalli Hills and near Jaipur’s famed attractions, offers an exquisite blend of tradition and luxury in one of India’s most vibrant cities.

The Raffles’ unique blend of heritage and modern comforts can be seen in its regal architecture, lush gardens, and exquisite culinary experiences rooted in local traditions. With 50 unique rooms featuring outdoor tubs or plunge pools, and the hotel’s focus on bespoke experiences and cultural immersion, such as masterclasses with local artisans and private concerts, the Raffles is a siren call to discerning travellers seeking the next great experience.

Guests are invited to immerse themselves in the local culture, with elements like a Shikar tent recalling Royal Mughal expeditions and hand-carved sandstone columns highlighting various eras of Rajasthani architecture.

Gourmands can look forward to Arkaa, the specialty restaurant, which reinterprets local cuisine with ingredients sourced from nearby micro-farms. Those seeking a tipple can head to the Writers Bar, which serves unique cocktails, including the Jaipur Sling, a local twist on the iconic Singapore Sling. Tea-totallers can find warm solace in the arms of a traditional afternoon tea, presented at Safir, while Sehara, the rooftop bar, delights with Mediterranean-inspired dishes and Italian specialties.

Beyond culinary delights, the hotel boasts a 620-square-metre spa, a state-of-the-art fitness studio, and a rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city. Raffles Jaipur offers an array of exclusive experiences, from masterclasses with local artisans to private concerts, providing guests with deep connections to local heritage. An Artisan Trail, set to debut later this year, will further allow guests to engage with local craftsmen, enhancing the immersive cultural experience.
